Chengdu, with three million inhabitants and other three in the suburbs is the capital of the Province of Sichuan. Founded 2.500 years ago by the King of Shu, during the epoch of the Fighting Kingdoms, it has been since then the political, economic and cultural center of Sichuan and of the whole south-west of China. During the dynasty They Have in the city a flourishing brocades production was happening, what it took the name of "City of Brocades", during the dynasty Song numerous hibiscuses stood firm, what did that it was known like "City of Hibiscuses". Monastery Wenshu
Constructed during the dynasty Tang, the center is the best preserved Buddhist of Chengdu and the only monument that really is worth taking the trouble him to go to visit. Temple of Wuhou

And in fact it was constructed in the VIth century in honor of Zhuge Liang, a famous strategist who lived in the epoch of the Fighting Kingdoms, which exploits were mythologized in the famous novel "History of Three Kingdoms". At the beginning of the dynasty Ming there annexed the Temple Han Zhaolie, where there was the grave of the emperor Liu Bei, who was a master of Zhuge Liang in the real history and who since then has turned into the principal attraction of the enclosure.
Hut of Du Fu
Along with the river Wenhua. This famous poet of the dynasty Tang lived possibly in this place, but certainly not in the hut that is visited. Constructed in the dynasty Song it is fundamentally a commemorative room, although some of the most fervent admirers of the poet, consider it to be a temple.

Grave of General Wang Jian

Museum of the University of Sichuan
It is the most important museum of the province. With important collections on the Tibet and on the ethnology of the national minorities of the Province of Sichuan.
