The songs of the Daile

As many other peoples of the family DongTai, the Daile have a narrow relation with the music. To big features his songs can split into three types:

The love songs

They are those that the young people sings to themselves when they are in the forest. Often they are sung of form of short duet, in which one sings asking other about him about his intentions, about his situation, about the needs for love, or about his plans for the future. Other will answer him, also singing, up to being satisfy the curiosity of the lover.

There is another type that there are the songs in rituals

Between they find those who are sung on having realized different activities, to which he impregnates of a religious sense. For example, when a house is constructed, a monk is singing each of the processes of the construction, simultaneously he is expelling to the malignant spirits that could in future bothering to his occupants. It is possible that these songs, in spite of his primitive ritual sense, are the modern heredity of the most first literary declarations that have come to us from the Daile, these songs in which a fighter game is described of lived form, and the rules to which to fit; the return to the cave, and other activities, as well as the way of realizing them correctly.

In fact, in the society Daile contemporary, the singers or Changha in his language, keep on having an enormous prestige. Not in vain they have played the most important role in the transmission of his popular culture.

The songs of the wine

Much more free than the previous genres, they have a certain primitive ritual character that stays of manifesto in the banquets, when the singer will be narrating by means of an unexpected song, which adapts his letter a the present circumstances, the development of the banquet.

For example, he can be singing:

"We have met in this beautiful restaurant,
with doors of bamboo and conference impactantes,
we are all friends, the people of good mood,
the plates are served by elegant bartenders." (1)

After it there will come the description of the place, of the persons, of the origin of the relation between the people who is there, of the plates that are making use, the wine, etc. It is a singing finally to the friendship.
