Material culture of the Ewenki

Due to the different environmental conditions the different groups Ewenki take very different activities, which mark in turn different cultures.

- Those who live in the Ergunazuo flag devote themselves in the hunting, depending on his existence especially of the apprehension of the marmot and the roebuck. They have to the bear as principal totem pole, to which they do not hunt except in cases of extreme need, and regulate his hunting activity with a good number of taboos. They were living up to the 60s in tents that were moving often and were organizing his society in winch clans which members had consanguinity relation.

- Those who live in Cheparhu and the Autonomous Flag Ewenki devote themselves to the agriculture, depending to live of his cattle of cows and sheep. They were living nomadic in yurtas similar to those of the Mongols. His society was more developed, and at present they are sedentary.

- Those who live in Puteha realize a seminomadic life, depending on the agriculture and the cattle to live.

- Those who live in Heilongjiang left the nomadic life it does generations. They have big experience in the agriculture.

The language that they speak belongs to the Altaian family, branch Manchú-Tungus. But it has three dialects with a lot of differences. Also, they usually speak the languages of his neighbors, according to the area through that they live, of the Chinese Han, of the Mongols or of Tatar.

It seems clear that in fact they have been framed under the name of Evenki to the Solon, Tungus and Yakut who live inside the Chinese borders.
