The love between the Jino

The young people Jino enjoys sexual freedom before the marriage. In some villages there are even constructed houses where the single young people of both sexes happens the night, being accepted without any discrimination the single mothers children.

The young people after 14 comes to ó 15 happens for a beginning ceremony 1llamada "wureha". On having finished the ceremony, all the people of the village meet and, sacrificing a cow, they give them the welcome to the world of the adults. From this moment it begins an instruction that teaches them the different aspects of the social, religious, productive and sexual life; in such a way that, on having finished the same one, they are considered to be adults. They are already considered to be capable of falling in love, and they stop happening the night at home.

Between the Jino there are typical the societies who assemble the young people. In the one that the boys inform Raokao is called, that of the girls, Mikao.

The young people falls in love little by little, when they feel themselves safe of his commitment, his parents arrange later the wedding.

His marriage is monogamous, with traces of marriage of group, perhaps for having happened only in the last centuries to form a patriarchal society. In fact, in the family, as in the social life, men and women are equal, although there are numerous traces in his familiar and social life, which remember not very distant time in which his society was directed by the women.

After the marriage the woman is going to live to the house of the fiancé. The wedding day a covey of the family of the fiancé is going to look for the fiancée to house of his family, and the ride to his house. From way to house of the fiancé a curious rite is celebrated, since his ancient lovers throw dirty water, and on having come to the house, the family of the fiancé throws clean water. After the marriage they are faithful, and if not, the unbeliever can lose his couple.

They cannot marry the people of the same clan. In some villages there are very serious punishments for the one that violates this taboo. On the other hand, when two persons of the same clan fall in love and do not go so far as to marry, it is respected and this affective tie allows to be evident even beyond the death.

When the woman gives birth it is considered a child that he cannot eat chicken, pig and other big animals. Therefore the husband goes out to hunt a squirrel. After skinning it and cleaning it, there is done by her a soup, which the mother will drink, and it will have, according to his tradition, charitable effects on the newborn baby.
