The proper traditions of the Jinos make to think that they are not the original inhabitants of his current grounds. They have had to of emigrating from not very distant region, since following the way that they show to the dead persons to return to the ground of the ancestors during the funerals, it was possible to have planned with certain precision the migrations of the Jinos. The Jinos think that the world was created by a goddess it was calling Amoyaobai. Also, each of the branches from the Jinos ancestor is considered to be in turn caused by one. It is possible that they are in the area through that they live now from the XIIIth century more or less. According to his legends confirmed in some aspects by the chronicles of the Dai, there was a queen jino between the Dai, married with one of the Kings of Xishuangbanna, whose son also became a king. There are numerous reasons to believe that during most of the history of the Jinos his society was a matriarchy. They have themselves several myths that they narrate like the matriarchal society it passed one of patriarchal type.
