IT NOTICES: Since the Chinese literary genres are different from the western ones, we place under this epigraph Chinese literary works not classified under other paragraphs.

This minor genre, as one always considered to the story in China, it does not stop providing surprises to us. As if of a bottomless sack it was talking each other, they are translated and publish collections of stories that do not stop providing agreeable surprises to us. These stories, in particular, belonging to the police genre, they are delightful, easy to read, and interesting.

In this book there are published three Chinese erotic histories of the dynasty Ming, about the XVIth century, in them legends and more ancient stories are gathered, since, although almost known in Occident, the Chinese erotic novel has been a genre much used for many centuries, the works sometimes were circulating secretly, others were published openly. It is possible to enjoy this small sample.

The present selection realized by the Briton Alfred J. Hodgson, is one of the most finished, given that to the number of types that it includes, mythological, fantastic, magic stories, and even love stories, a basic idea allows to be done on this literary genre.

Li Fuyan. - Stories of the Dynasty Tang. New library. 1999.

Although the story was always considered to be in China a minor literature, there is not doubt that it is the literary genre with which more easily one associates the Chinese. The histories chosen in this book were written during the dynasty Tang (618-907), when the imperial China reached his splendor.

Liu Xue. - The heart of the literature and the chiselling of dragons. Translation of Alice Relinque. Coseas.

This is one of the first works of literary criticism, and the most important of the small stones. Written in the Vth century, along the same one, the author realizes an exhaustive and finished study of all the used literary genres. A pity that the translation of Alice Relinque has spent almost unnoticed.

Enjoying his reading, there can go away aprehendiendo the extract of the Chinese soul, his thought in which the fantastic world and the real one, are more imbricated than in Occident, his concept of the humor and of the love, etc.

Zhang Hua. - Relation of the things of the world. Trotta. 2001

As its own name indicates that the "Relation of the things of the world" is a work with encyclopedic vocation. Written by Zhang Hua in the IIIrd century, one of the most awake minds in a century of chaos, presents to the reader the things of the world of this epoch. Since it has already been said before 40 original chapters, only there remain 10. Considering the presentation of the same ones, with brief paragraphs dedicated to every concrete topic, this lack he does not suppose a difficulty in the reading.
