Presenting the Naxi

The Naxi are one of the most interesting peoples of Yunnan and of the whole China. They always live in one of the most attractive sceneries of the region, with the mount Yulongxue, snow-capped mountain, to the fund, and the river Yangtze (called in this stretch Jinshajiang), like a barrier that separates them from the north of China.
The Naxi concentrate principally in the city of Lijiang, an important city sedates of a government semi independently for several centuries, where the trailers proceeding from Lhasa were coming and several from which they were dividing the Chinese products, Yunnan in the direction of the Tibet.

They preserve a culture surprisingly original, whose cohesion has been cemented in the last years by an elaborated cult to the phenomena of the nature, deified, which of constant form intervene in the life of the persons. The aspects most representative of the above mentioned culture are:

- The writing pictográfica Dongba: in which his shamans register hundreds of prayers for multitude of ceremonies, it consists of more than 1.100 ideographical and phonetic pictographs.

- The shamans Dongba, with the most curious paraphernalia that develops of the religion primitive Bon, and elaborated ceremonies between the one that emphasizes that of the cult to the sky.

- The ancient city of Lijiang: a jewel of the carefully preserved traditional architecture.

- Musician Dongjing. A type of ritual music taoísta, practically desapararecida in the rest of China, saved from the negligence between the Naxi thanks to an elders' fistful, which in last years re-lives thanks to the tourism.
