The book of the Shui, the treasure of a people

The Shui have a sacred book, it is the called "Book of the Shui". A book of divination in which there are gathered both the ancient philosophy of the Shui, and his popular beliefs.

The book of the Shui was written more than 1.000 years ago, with a few only characters, which, although the experts say evolved from the Chinese, they are completely different. In fact, this book is the only text written in characters Shui. In fact a series of formulae assembles the book to expel the villains spirits and to attract to summon the fortune.

The book is like a big almanac in which the propitious dates and the unlucky ones are indicated by clarity. The second important aspect of the book there are the instructions relative to the spatial orientation, both in the sky and in the ground. Finally, the book provides an analysis in the time and the space, of the propitious moments to realize different activities. His language is therefore dark for not initiated, capable only of being interpreted by the priests Shui, to whom the people were coming before initiating any important activity, from constructing a house, going out of trip, or celebrating any familiar event, like a wedding or funeral.

The book shows the complex spiritual life of the Shui, which like other peoples of the area, each of his activities need to frame in the propitious moment. In fact, one of the most important activities of his priests is the exploration of the calendar, to be able to indicate those who consult the propitious moment for every activity.

As for the writing in which the book is written, it mixes some characters that support certain resemblance with the Chinese, with others that have evolved up to becoming unrecognizable, and others more of clear origin pictográfico. Three types give form to one of the most original writing of China.
