The "Book of the Perfect Emptiness", known in China since "I Tied up zi", is one of three outstanding figures of the philosophical Taoism, along with the Lao zi (Tao you king) and the Zhuang zi. Although it is least known of the three, his reading turns out to be indispensable for the one who aspires to a complete approach to the fascinating world of the thought taoísta. His reading is basic because it helps to understand some of the basic points of the Taoism that do not remain clear in other works, as well as to understand the collective subconscious of China, since some of his texts have been repeated up to the satiety.

Maspero, Henri. - The Taoism and the Chinese religions. Trotta. 2000.

The author was, up to his death to hands of the Nazi, one of the most reputable sinólogos, of France, and of the first half of the XXth century. The religion was possibly, the aspect in which more Maspero stood out. In the present book there meet some of his unpublished works, compiled by his disciples after his death.

A book that is not centred on the history of the Taoism, but on his actuality. Perhaps the Taoism is, for his extract, the religion most removed from the power in any of his forms, it is for it that in the last centuries he has suffered a continuous but constant decline in China. Along this book the author indicates the symptoms that point at a revitalization of the religion taoísta in China.

The famous Italian orientalist, specialist in the Tibetan culture, realizes in this brief essay a lucid analysis of the Taoism, and especially of his seminal text: Tao Teking (I free of the way and the virtue). His reflections on the basic concepts of this religion are really essential.

Wong, Eva. - Stories of Immortal Taoístas. Paidós. 2005

The authoress realizes a big activity destined to popularize the basic concepts of the Taoism in Occident, as well as those of the Chinese culture, so intimately related to the Taoism. Some eminent sinologos confess that any six-year-old child knows about China that themselves. Although this affirmation can be debatable, it is undoubted that the whole typical cultural heritage impregnates the life in China. An undivided assets for which Eva Wong opens a window to us.

This book written by one of the biggest experts of the actuality, allows to know not only the most important theories of this philosophy, but also his history, his evolution, and even the current practice of this religion. History, system and practice, there are three divisions of this book.

A classic novel taoísta, in which showing us the different way that leads to the immortality in seven teachers taoístas, it tries that the reader understands the basic concepts of this philosophy, and the different means of reaching the immortality.

Zhuang zi is perhaps the biggest of the writers taoístas. The work, which consists of 33 chapters, has exercised an enormous influence between the Chinese thinkers, and forms, together with the Lao zi (Tao you king) and the Lie zi, the classic trilogy of the philosophical Taoism.

These seven chapters represent the essential part of the work of Zhunag zi. According to some experts, there are, in fact, the only ones that can assume from unequivocal form to him.
