Goddess of the Flowers between the Zhuang

The Goddess who Sends the Flowers is one of the most important deities of the Zhuang. In fact, practically all the married women venerate it inside their own house, in a wooden altar where they offer him incense. It is venerated without fixed date, although it is done especially by the women who still have no had children, or those who have had them, when the children fall ill. The ceremonies that are realized in these two circumstances are different.

The women who ask for descent realize an annual ceremony, during which they are going to the mountain to gather a branch of wild flowers, which then it will place in his house in the altarcito of the goddess. Then there is invited the woman who will preside at the ceremony, which burns incense asking the goddess him of descent. It is thought that if one of the flowers falls down, it is that the woman was remaining pregnant. When the son is sick, the mother realizes the ceremony personally. It burns incense before the altar of the goddess, and kneels down saying to him: "Goddess who Sends the Flowers, the flowers that you sent are a little withered, please water them a little so that they could bloom exuberant."

That is because the Zhuang think that the children are flowers that the Goddess of the Flowers sends to his parents.

On the 19th of the second lunar month it is considered that it is the birthday of this goddess, therefore the women Zhuang celebrate a holiday this day, during that all the women to put little money to buy a chicken, a duck and little pork it to be offered to the goddess. And of course, flowers gathered out of the village.
